World War II Movies
I have been asked in the past, since I collect and watch old war movies, which ones are my favorites. I took a few minutes to compile such a list. If you find yourself late at night flicking channels and you see one of these titles, I recommend you pause and check it out!
In order of my most watched and favored non-documentary movies:
Enemy Below
Run Silent, Run Deep
Strategic Air Command
12 O'Clock High
Sink the Bismark
Midway
To Hell and Back
Battle of Britain
Tora Tora Tora
Hunt for Red October
I could list another 15 titles or more that I enjoy from time to time. I remember watching Midway in the local movie theater (1977) when I was 10 years old or so over and over (we would pay once and just hang out all day!). I slid in two cold war movies (Strategic Air Command and the Hunt for Red October) with the later being the only movie made in the last 20 years to make the list. If you have a few favorites drop me an e-mail sometime, I'd enjoy to see your list!
